With Cousin Earth and Especially Everyone, he has played shows and festivals all over the United States alongside artists such as Melvin Seals & the Jerry Garcia Band, Robert Randolph, Goose, Little Feat, and more.
As a solo performer, Joey is inspired by modern fingerstyle guitarists like Andy McKee and Tommy Emmanuel, as well as singer-songwriters like Jim Croce and James Taylor. He loves to take songs and “folk them up” by playing them with different techniques on the acoustic guitar. This includes adding percussive parts to mimic drums, playing melodies, chords, and bass lines at the same time, and/or changing the genre/feel of a song.
Joey’s repertoire includes Pop, Rock, and Country/Folk hits from the 60s to early 2000s by artists such as Johnny Cash, Bill Withers, Carol King, the Beatles, Dolly Parton, Green Day, Bob Dylan, the Killers, and more.
Solo musician services include: Restaurants / Bars / Events / Wedding Ceremonies / Cocktail Hours / Senior Centers. Neurodiversity is Celebrated. Joey offers instrumental versions, live acoustic karaoke, “folked up” versions with vocals, and classic interpretations of some of your favorite songs! He can also provide services as a musician for hire on acoustic / electric guitar (rhythm and lead), ukulele, bass, drums, and vocals.
